Virido Zero Carbon House in Cambridge

13.10.14

Virido Zero Carbon House is being built as a housing prototype for the larger Quad development on the adjacent site of Clay Farm. It has been designed to exceed Code for Sustainable Homes level 5. Leading local housebuilder Hill is looking for Cambridge’s family of the future, to live rent free for a year in one of the city’s most sustainable houses. The four bedroom house, located in a sought-after area of Cambridge, will include state-of-the-art green technology and will not only reduce carbon emissions, but also aim to improve the health and well-being of the occupants. The selected family will be part of a wider initiative to promote the construction of more environmentally friendly homes and encourage the widespread adoption of more sustainable lifestyles.
