PTE signs up to the Mayor’s Business Climate Challenge

09.11.22

We’re excited to announce our participation in the Mayor’s Business Climate Challenge to accelerate efforts to reduce our workplace energy consumption, energy bills and carbon emissions.

We have pledged to reduce our energy consumption 10% in a year and will receive free customised technical advice from consultants to help make our workplace more energy efficient and future-proof our business against rising energy prices. Findings from the BCC pilot indicate that in the first 9 months of the programme, participants reduced their energy consumption on average by 16%, saving £8,300 in energy costs.

London’s businesses have a key role to play the fight against climate change and programmes like the Business Climate Challenge are going to be crucial way for the public and private sector to work together. Business Climate Challenge participants are leading the way supporting the city’s net zero by 2030 goal by accelerating action to reduce their workplace carbon emissions.”
