Open City Architecture in Schools Programme

07.01.13

PTE’s architect Ben Whitehead and architectural assistants Emily Noden and Mark Ratke have recently completed the Open City Architecture in Schools Programme.

The programme consisted of a visit to the New academic Building at the London School of economics with their year 9 class from St George's Catholic School in Maida Vale and three visits to the school for classroom workshops.

The theme was ‘The livable City’ and the design brief was for a temporary pop up structure that responds to a site, our site being Rembrandt Gardens in Little Venice. Well done to all the students for all the designs produced, including some great drawings and models.

Congratulations to Team Demo Krati for being awarded the Open City Design Skills Award, and a joint commendation for the Design Development Award.
