Catalyst Housing has been selected by Ealing Council to deliver the 904 home regeneration of the Havelock Estate in Southall. Catalyst along with partner Leadbitter Group will transform the estate, providing brand new homes for social rent and shared ownership as well 427 homes for outright sale through development arm Catalyst By Design. The proposals, which include a £1m community regeneration fund with a £100,000 community chest to support community projects, reinforce Catalyst’s long term commitment to Southall and to building long lasting sustainable communities. Catalyst and Leadbitter brought on board PTE, who designed Catalyst’s award winning Page Road regeneration scheme in Hounslow. Ealing Council’s cabinet unanimously approved the decision to select Catalyst. Lead member for housing, Hitesh Tailor said "I’m delighted with this decision, which is excellent news for Havelock residents and the Southall community. Ealings commitment to homes for social rent goes beyond bricks and mortar. We listen carefully to residents aspirations for skills, training and fostering a real sense of community, which is why Catalysts commitment to community development has met with such high approval.
